Our very own Sarah Geronimo was honored at the recently concluded 2012 MNet Asian Music Awards! The very first Best Asian Artist - Philippines award was given to the Kapamilya star during the most anticipated awards ceremony in the region.

"Thank you very much for this recognition! I am very honored to be the first MAMA winner from the Philippines. Thank you to all my supporters," said Sarah in a recorded interview broadcasted at the ceremonies held in Hong Kong.



The MNet Asian Music Awards is held annually to recognize artists from the K-Pop community and other Asian countries.

This year, the major awards were won by Big Bang (Artist Of The Year), Super Junior (Album Of The Year) and Internet phenom PSY(Song Of The Year). Jackie Chan, B.O.B and Adam Lambert also participated during the awards show.
