Peter Parker death: Spider-Man gets killed

Peter Parker, the man who becomes a superhero when he’s the Amazing Spider-Man, will meet his death in the controversial 700th issue of the comic book that’s coming out this week.

According to CP Entertainment, Parker will succumb to one of his furthermost arch-enemies, the evil villain Doctor Octopus in the latest twist of the story that shocks fans.

What’s more stunning is that, apparently, Doc Ock will swap his mind into Parker’s body to continue fulfilling Spider-Man’s mission. It means Doctor Octopus becomes the Amazing Spider-Man.

Speaking to USA Today, writer Dan Slott said “This is Moriarty in the head of Sherlock; this is Prince John inside of Robin Hood; this is the greatest villain inside the body of the greatest hero and trying to do good; this is a guy who was a couple steps way from a bucket list and now he’s got a whole new lease on life that’s really going to change him.”

In an meeting on CNN, Slott also said: “For all intents and purpose, Otto Octavius was the adult Peter could have become, Spider-Man’s dark reflection,” adding “So what if we flipped it? What if we gave him a second chance? Peter’s final, heroic act was giving Doc all the memories and experiences that kept him on the right path. But is that enough? Can that overcome Ock’s true nature?”

Slott likewise revealed that “since it’s Doc Ock and he has that ego, he’s not departing to try and just be Spider-Man, he’s going to try to be the best Spider-Man ever.”

CP Entertainment also reports that “Amazing” will be dropped and “Superior Spider-Man” will be born.
